Quaid the Tower Breaker
“You keep hoping that I am going to lose, and that is what's making things so difficult for you. You see, I am the one that measures. I may appear evil. The world may appear to be on my side, but thing do not work spite of evil. It works with me. It works because of me.”
Orphaned at a young age, Quaid grew up never knowing his own face. As a young champion, he had to fight soul and hell in order to survive. From facing those that embodied eternal torment to those that could create all-encompassing chaos, his life should have been shattered before it even began. However, he endured and surpassed. His hard-won freedom and renown was a testament to his own strengths and accomplishments as a Tower Breaker.
Quaid valued three things above all else in life. First, his freedom. Quaid believed in his total freedom from the authors that would seek to write out the story of his life. Everything would be written by his existence/nonexistence, taking matters into his own hands. He did as he pleased and none could tell him otherwise. Second, his war paint. Despite looking like intentional ink, the markings on his body are from the blood of his enemies, which he fused onto himself. Third, his lack of bonds. Since he had no relatives to speak of, Quaid had no reason to cherish the bonds he temporarily forged with the countless people he encountered in his life. Those who joined Quaid under the banner of Lazabi are no family, just expendable pawns and he is absolutely callous towards them.
Quaid has no interest in the war between 93 and The Church of Necessary Evil. When he ignored the call to join in the war efforts, The Church sent a few Ushers to exterminate Quaid and his Lazabi faction, just to make an example out of them for disobeying The Church of Necessary Evil. Quaid and his allies have been on the run ever since, but the longer they run, the more he lost along the way. With no allies left, he decided it was time to stay his hand and confront The Church himself.
Powers and Abilities:
Constructal Law
Constructal law is the manipulation of the creation of design (configurations, patterns, geometry) in nature. Constructal law covers natural phenomena of organization and laws. Through this, natural design and the constructal law unite all animate and inanimate systems.
· Life is flow: all flow systems are living systems, the animate and the inanimate.
· Design generation and evolution is a phenomenon of physics.
· Designs have the universal tendency to evolve in a certain direction in time.
These are the 3 steps in making design in nature a truer domain that overrules all other systems.
Because Constructal Law is a first principle of physics that accounts for all design and evolution in nature, Quaid is able to freely act before the principles of any other scope of physics. He is able to hold, shape and structure any flow of design.
Sekaireigan
The Sekaireigan are the eyes that can only be described as golden time, which defines the time direction of all evolutionary design phenomena. These eyes define in physics terms what it means to be “better”, more "fit", to “survive”, and to be efficient. Not all changes are improvements, but those that stick measurably enhance flow. On the smallest scale, The Sekaireigan defines and creates the measuring system used to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the intervals between them, and to quantify rates of change such as the motions of objects. The quantum and metaphysical temporal position of events with respect to the transitory present is continually changing; events happen, and then are located further and further in the past, if the eyes allow so. The Sekaireigan is that which measures.
