It is the reason why fictional characters are, as it were, only meaningful inside the fiction.

• Figuralism: narrative causality is “really” asserting that something is in a particular condition, but perhaps not the world; the be-ness function as representational aids in a figurative description of the "it", where the "it" may themselves be representational aids invoked to help us describe still further objects.

A non-pataphysical meaning is an actual or possible derivation from the narrative, which is not associated with signs that have any original or primary intent of the essence of language. It is an art used to capture a number of different be-ness of the word "meaning", independently from its metaphysical and pataphysical linguistic uses.
