Hidden Chapter: “The Keepsake of the Auspicious”

Table of Contents

Keepsake of the Auspicious hails from Visaskarma, a realm renowned for its profound connection to the cosmic forces that mold and wield realities. Amidst the age-old conflict between the nations of Sliholphin and Vragvirion, she stood as a loyal warrior to Sliholphin, deeply involved in the battle's brutal necessities. Known for her relentless combat prowess, she indulged in the visceral aspect of her duties with a dark delight, taking satisfaction in the necessity of her violent actions.

    Betrayal and Transition to Aesarthim

The turning point came when the leaders of Sliholphin orchestrated a grand betrayal. Following a strategic victory where the Keepsake of the Glory successfully sealed Vragvirion's Eight Warlords in Aliezmus, ostensibly to force peace negotiations, the leaders chose instead to transport the entire battlefield to Aesarthim, isolating combatants from both sides in an alien world. This drastic move marked the end of the traditional conflict and began a new chapter of isolation and discovery for those stranded.

Life in Daiodiaz and the Encounter with Dingirsu

As time passed, the Keepsake of the Auspicious wandered into the Voidscourge of Daiodiaz within Aesarthim, attempting to carve out a semblance of peace in this new world. It was here she met Dingirsu, a young warrior who, struck by her ethereal beauty and formidable presence, fell deeply in love at first sight. This meeting sparked a series of events that shifted her path from a warrior entrenched in conflict to a figure of myth and leadership.

The Crisis of the Black River and the Rise to Matriarch

The Voidscourge soon faced its own crisis as the black river overflowed, causing significant damage and unleashing monstrous threats. The local priestess, Parkouria, lacking the power to resolve the crisis, sought the aid of Dingirsu and another devout, Zordschlag. During their quest to stem the disaster, they encountered the Water Phoenix, initially mistaken for a malevolent force by Parkouria. In a dramatic revelation, the Keepsake of the Auspicious identified the creature as a Suggswraith and proposed it be revered as a divine protector, a suggestion that split the group.

As tensions escalated, the true nature of the crisis and the Suggswraith's role was debated fiercely among the group. The Keepsake of the Auspicious, seeing a chance to alter her path from war to guardianship, pleaded with the Suggswraith to embrace a role of divinity, promising her own service in exchange.

    Transformation and Conflict

The transformation of the Keepsake of the Auspicious into the Matriarch of the Astellar marked a significant shift. Her newfound role brought her admiration and reverence from the citizens, overshadowing Parkouria and fostering jealousy. Over time, doubts about her unchanging appearance led to suspicions and fears, culminating in accusations of monstrosity. Faced with the potential rejection from the community she had come to cherish, she chose to leave, preserving the peace she had helped establish.

    Legacy and Departure

Her departure was not the end but the beginning of a legacy that would see her daughter, and eventually her great-granddaughter, ascend to the role of Matriarch. Though Keepsake of the Auspicious departed from Daiodiaz, she continued to watch over her lineage from afar, ensuring that her influence remained a guiding force.

    Reunion and Unwritten Narratives

800 Centuries later, as narratives unfolded revealing a path back to their original expanse, the Keepsake of the Auspicious, along with other Keepsakes, plotted a return to their origins, driven by a desire for revenge and closure. This decision set the stage for new conflicts and a reevaluation of allegiances and goals among the Keepsakes.
