Those that contend for the title of World Champion have gone through a tournament of immense feats.  Those that can enter this Campaign of Champions can only get here through surpassing the Preliminaries.

Each contender that gets beyond the Preliminary is identified as being the meta-conceptual embodiment of Victory over all of Fiction, all of Nonfiction, all of Transfiction, all of Fanfiction, all of Metafiction, all of Patafiction, all of Interfiction, all of Personal Fiction, all of Impersonal Fiction, all of Incompatibilism Fiction, all of Impossible Fiction, all of Speculative Fiction, all of Xenofiction, all Universal Genres, all Universal Tropes, all of Paratexts, all of Memetic Fiction, all of Transformation Fiction, and all of a priori and a posteriori Fiction.

Each contender must personally, impersonally, and transpersonally overcome an inaccessible indeterminate boundless transcendent amount of Deus, and effortlessly defeat them with less effort than the descending ladder of nothingness. Only then can a contender go into the actual Campaign of Champions.

The "True" Campaign of Champions isn’t actually a fight between each contender, but a measure of how powerful their Victory encompasses.

On rare occasions, a contender will surpass the Heir to the Stars Cosmology and enter into Tier 3, 2, or 1. If their potential is measured into this baseline, they will be Crowned World Champion. If more than 1 crosses into this threshold, then a battle will ensue to determine the “Undisputed” World Champion.

Anomalies

Prior to the book Heir to the Stars: Skylar, there were several anomalies that were able to make it into the Campaign of Champions. They didn't make it beyond initial challenges but they demonstrated that they could contend for the World Champion title.
