⎈The JOKER⎈'s Dlclaifsein cosmogony is an index of Dlclaifseins (pronounced "Avalon") that attribute to the true backstory of a character, their abilities, and a list of feats not presented in the books but are part of the franchise. ⎈The JOKER⎈ is the equivalent of the Paratext and Hypotext of the Heir to the Stars verse (past, present, future, and endless).

⎈The JOKER⎈ possesses the material that surrounds all published main texts (e.g., the story, non-fiction description, poems, etc.) supplied by the authors, editors, printers, and publishers. She can change the frame for the main text and can change the reception of a text or its interpretation by the public. To paint a picture, think of THE ⎈The JOKER⎈ as the one that is designing the books of anything related to Heir to the Stars as a franchise. She creates the cover (with associated cover art), title, front matter (dedication, opening information, foreword), back matter (endpapers, colophon) footnotes, and many other materials not crafted by the author. ⎈The JOKER⎈ is responsible for all other editorial decisions, such as the formatting or typography.

⎈The JOKER⎈ has everything that serves the "earlier text", which serves as the source of a subsequent piece of literature, or hypertext. ⎈The JOKER⎈ links all relationships, uniting a text B (which I shall call the hypertext) to an earlier text A (I shall, of course, call it the hypotext), upon which it is grafted in a manner that is not that of commentary. So, ⎈The JOKER⎈ makes it that text B "evokes" text A without necessarily mentioning it directly.
